The aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) Eastern Regional Chairman, Mr Basil Ahiable says he is sure of victory at the party’s delegates conference which is set to elect regional executives on September 1, 2018, at Akosombo.
Speaking on Asempa FM‘s flagship political talk show “Eko Sii Sen”, Mr Ahiable said he sees no competition from his contenders as the delegates have assured him of their votes.

He added that among those competing with him in the chairmanship race, he is the standout candidate as he is the only “fresh blood” amongst them.
“The change is in the air. We are four people contesting. I don’t have a threat. If you look at the trend in campaigning, I don’t have a threat. My advantage is that I am very focused. I don’t have any issues with anyone and I don’t attack people. They have done their best. We need a fresh blood and thinking. We need new ideas,” he indicated.

Four candidates including the incumbent regional chairman, Bismark Tawiah Boateng, Basil Ahiable, Alhaji Sumaila Mahama and John Owusu Amankra are all contesting for the regional chairmanship race.
