The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has denied the election rigging allegations made against her by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to Adom News, Hawa Koomson refuted claims that military officers were stationed at a hotel in Galilea to thumbprint ballot papers in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“I have never rigged an election before, and I always win genuinely,” she stated.
A total of 173,989 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots across 314 polling stations in the constituency, including at Roman JHS, where Hawa Koomson is set to vote.
While pledging to ensure a peaceful election process in Kasoa, the MP warned that she would respond decisively if provoked by any misbehavior from the opposition.
