Former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, has said she has strong relationships with constituency executives and polling station executives.
The current Member of Parliament for Agona West declared her independent candidacy after losing in the NPP parliamentary primaries.
Addressing her constituents, she stated, “God willing, I will be contesting the parliamentary election as an independent candidate. It is not about the NDC, and it is not about the NPP. It is about the development of Agona.”
In an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, Madam Morrison said had a good rapport with those who reached out to her.
She mentioned, “Many have officially come to apologize to me. Out of the 951 members who went to vote, over 700 did not vote during the primaries, and I am still in talks with them. We maintain a very good relationship.”
She continued that “I may not have been on good terms with everyone, but I have been a mother to them; I cook for them, and we have a very strong relationship.”
She added, “I have a good relationship with the polling station executives and others involved. Despite the challenges, our bond remains strong.”
