I had a good appetite for dinner – President Mahama reacts to Black Stars’ 5-0 win over Chad

-

President John Dramani Mahama has commended the Black Stars for their emphatic 5-0 victory against Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana delivered a commanding performance at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night, securing all three points in their Matchday five fixture.

Goals from Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Mohamed Salifu, and Ernest Nuamah propelled the Black Stars to the top of Group I with 12 points.

Following the victory, President Mahama took to social media to celebrate the team’s performance, playfully admitting that the result had enhanced his appetite.

“I had a good appetite for dinner after the Black Stars’ 5-0 victory. Congrats, guys!” he wrote, applauding the team for their impressive display.

However, he also urged the players to remain focused and not allow the win to breed complacency as they push forward in their qualification campaign.

“Let this victory not make us complacent. This should be the beginning of bringing back the love,” he noted.

The Black Stars will next take on second-placed Madagascar on Monday, March 24, at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium in Morocco.
