Ghanaian musician Dr Cryme, known for his consistent fashion choice of wearing a cap, recently opened up about his unique style in a latest interview.
The Tema-based rapper and songwriter, whose real name is Darlington Kwesi Agyekum, revealed that wearing a cap has become an essential part of his identity.
“I would say that wearing a cap is part of me to the extent that I feel incomplete if I should dress without putting on a cap or if I have to walk around without it,” Dr Cryme confessed.
He emphasized that it’s rare to find him without a cap, and if such a situation arises, it’s likely because someone took it as a gift.
Reflecting on his signature style, Dr Cryme shared that he has an extensive collection of caps in different colors and styles, which he dons daily. “Constantly, every single day I wear different kinds and colors of caps, and so far as I’m still alive there is no way I would ever stop wearing a cap when I dress,” he disclosed.
Addressing the speculation that his constant cap-wearing might be an attempt to hide a bald head, Dr Cryme dismissed the rumors.
He revealed that he’s been braiding his hair since he started his music career and that his hair is now quite long.
