I don’t mind settling down with a broke man – Adina

-

Award-winning Ghanaian singer Adina Thembi Ndamse, known in showbiz circles as Adina, has revealed she does not mind settling with a poor man (broke man) if only the suitor demonstrates the potential of a promising future.

But the suitor must first and foremost understand her art and respect human beings, she noted in an interview with Johnnie Hughes on TV3’s New Day on Tuesday.

“Somebody who understands what I do because I’m a musician and I love the craft,” she said.

“If he is broke and he has a dream or he is making a move about [his future] or he is on his way, [fair].”

The singer claims no marriage proposals came her way last year and she is not quite certain what she will do if they finally come this year.

She said people expressed their love for her on social media or elsewhere, but nothing personal came her way.

“I don’t know,” she replied Johnnie, who wanted to know if she is looking forward to marriage this year.

The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Best Female Vocalist, whose latest song ‘On My Way’ is currently making waves, insisted that if she must marry a “broke man” then there must be something promising about him.

“You see the potential in him and you see he is a serious person and that in the next few years he is actually going to make something of himself,” Adina observed.

Meanwhile, she is set to release her first single of the year. She says it will be a theme song of a movie she starred in.

As to whether she has now veered into movies, Adina said being in movies has always been of interest to her.
