A national organizer aspirant for the National Democratic Congress, Joshua Akamba has dismissed claims that he incited students of the Tempane Senior High School in the Northern Region to hoot at the ruling government in a video that went viral.
“I did not lead the students to do what they did. I only asked if they were comfortable with their current situation in the school after they told me they slept in two’s and three’s and even asked me to come into their dormitories, a request I refused”.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii sen, Mr Akamba said the situation the students were experiencing wasn’t the situation before 2016.
He attributed the problems to the free SHS policy of the NPP which he said had brought congestions to the school.
“I was expecting that after your [media] noise, you should have gone to check for yourselves what the situation was like in the school instead of just criticizing my actions.”.
