Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reiterated his commitment to playing wherever he’s needed to help the team.
The Ghanaian was called upon to play as a right-back in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday at the AMEX Stadium.
He filled in for Jurrien Timber, who is currently suspended, and this marks one of several occasions this season where Partey has stepped into the role due to injuries and suspensions within the squad.
Following the match, the 30-year-old expressed his willingness to continue adapting to defensive duties, emphasizing his desire to increase his versatility on the pitch.
“I’m a professional and I’ll play everywhere to help the team. I’m available to play in any position, I’ll do my best and also give my best all the time,” he told the club website.
“If I can do much better and improve, I can be happy. It’s moments that the team need me and I have to be there and I’m really happy to help the team all the time,” he added.
Arsenal now turn their attention to the upcoming EFL Cup semifinal, with the first leg against Newcastle United scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Emirates Stadium.
