Former Black Starlets coach, Laryea Kingston, has expressed his willingness to return to coach any of Ghana’s national teams if given the opportunity and full support.
Kingston, a former Ghana international, stepped down as head coach of the U-17 team in May after his squad failed to reach the final of the WAFU B Cup of Nations, which was held in Accra.
Their elimination at the semifinal stage by Burkina Faso meant they also missed out on qualification for the upcoming AFCON tournament.
Despite resigning after that disappointment, Kingston remains open to future collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
“For me, any day Ghana calls upon me and they will allow me and support me 110%, I am going to come back and give back to my country because this is what we are all looking for,” Kingston told Joy Sports.
He emphasized that former players like himself have valuable experience to contribute.
“C.K. played the game and coached the game as well so if there is anything at all, people like us need more to give to our soccer at the moment than anything else,” he added.
Kingston, who was a former winger for the Black Stars, has recently taken on a new role as the head coach of RPS Academies in the United States.
