I am not scared to say I smoke marijuana – B4Bonah

Some musicians refuse to confirm live-on-air if they use illicit substances of any form to inspire how they write and sing their songs.

In some parts of the world, where marijuana is almost entirely legalised, it’s more like a norm for musicians to showcase weed and other drugs as a form of lifestyle to promote their brand.

In Ghana, it is forbidden for some musicians to show to the public if they smoke or drink alcohol. These musicians believe it might affect their brand rather than promote them as role models.

But, in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, monitored by Adomonline.com, rapper Frederick Amoako Bonah, popularly known as B4Bonah, said “he smokes weed and everybody knows this.”

According to him, he is no longer with his previous label, hence coming out to confirm the truth in the public domain seems right.

“I am not scared saying I smoke marijuana. I am never scared saying it on radio because everyone knows. I was on a label before [so I had to respect how I spoke] come on. But now I am being real,” he told Andy Dosty.
