The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Shama in the Western Region, Emelia Arthur, has expressed her readiness to secure a win in the upcoming December elections.

In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, she said she is not intimidated by anyone and believes that victory is ultimately determined by a higher power.

“I am not scared of anyone” and stressed that “God gives victory” and “brings winners” she said.

Madam Arthur stressed her practical approach, noting that it’s not about appearances like bow ties but about the work done on the ground.

Her extensive experience, including her time as District Chief Executive (DCE) and various party roles, reflects her commitment and hands-on involvement.

“It’s not about the bow tie; sometimes even normal slippers speak volumes It’s about working on the ground,” she said.

Madam Arthur is committed to transforming Shama and believes she is the most suitable candidate for this task.

“I’ve been fortunate to connect with many of you who share our aspirations for the Shama constituency. Your call for unity, constructive dialogue, and a shared vision echoes deeply within me. From our esteemed Chiefs to the vibrant youth, the resilient women, and the invaluable members with disabilities, each voice contributes to our shared dream of a cohesive and prosperous Shama” she noted.

Madam Arthur acknowledged that achieving this vision requires collective effort and community support, noting.

“I understand that I cannot do it alone and will need the unwavering support of all.”
