I am always learning to improve – Otto Addo

Ghana head coach Otto Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to self-improvement as he prepares his team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.

Speaking ahead of the crucial clash at the Accra Sports Stadium, the 49-year-old acknowledged the challenges he has faced, particularly after Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Despite criticism, Addo remains resolute in his approach to learning and evolving.

“I am a person who is always learning. Win or lose, I am always eager to improve myself. I know surely when we lose, everybody will ask what I learned, and you learn the most from losses,” he said.

He further emphasized his commitment to progress, saying, “Even when I win, I look at what could have been done better. That is me. I always try to improve myself and my team, which is very important, and focus on areas where we can get better.”

The Black Stars will take on Chad at 19:00 GMT tonight. Following the match, the team will travel to Morocco for their final Group I fixture against Madagascar on Monday.
