Huge dog interrupts video call by cheekily climbing over helpless owner

dog has been caught hilariously interrupting a Zoom video call by climbing all over his poor owner and sticking his fluffy tail in front of the camera.

Two-year-old rescue dog Odin begged for attention from his owner, Andrew Stallwood, 53, while he was working from his home in Runcorn.

Andrew, who works as a maintenance and facilities supervisor, was just trying to get on with his day – but cheeky Odin had other ideas and attempted to distract him.

His giggling stepdaughter, Laurenjade Ashton, 22, couldn’t help but take photos, as their giant carpathian shepherd mix balanced on her helpless stepdad’s shoulders.

The hilarious photos show Odin refusing to get down and plonking his furry bottom right in front of Andrew’s vision.

Laurenjade, who lives in Runcorn, said: “We all found it hilarious – he’s always up to something mischievous and always has us laughing.

“He does this quite a lot actually to my stepdad, and we’ve found out his brother actually does the exact same!

“I just thought he was crazy but that’s typical Odin – he’s always climbing where he shouldn’t be but we love him for it!”

Odin isn’t the only dog making people laugh this week – golden retriever Layla has been captured on camera leaving her owner for a ‘new family’ every time they go out.

Owner Maggie Daly, from New Jersey, said the three-year-old dog regularly ditches her to snuggle with strangers.

“She does it whenever we go to the beach, which is pretty much everyday,” Maggie explained.

“She spots a person or group of people – typically when they are sitting down – and sprints toward them and sits down either right next to them or on their lap.

“She will stay with a group for as long as they give her attention and then move on to another group of people.”
