How to avoid thieves contesting GFA presidency

-

Former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr Nyaho-Nyaho-Tamakloe, has warned the Normalisation Committee to be wide-awake in the upcoming GFA elections since he still sees ‘bunch of thieves’ interested in positions.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, Mr Tamakloe advised that the bar of integrity must be raised very high in order not to give room for those who have plans to come and amass wealth for their own selfish interests.

“We have to be very careful with those that we push to lead football in this country; to me the bar of integrity should be raised very high and the list should be tiny so that crooks don’t get room, because the moment crooks get room, that is the end of football in this country,” he advised.

“We are talking about integrity, people who will come and do the work and not come and steal. We have to make sure that those who will show their faces are people we can rely on and not a bunch of thieves that is what I am saying.

“Look at the level of football at the moment in the country; there have not been any competitive game. These are the things we have to watch and not somebody who will come as the chairman or president of the association and just be interested in making money,” he added.

It must be noted that, President of the Normalisation Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah has said any person interested in vying for the GFA presidency should be ready to undergo a strong integrity test.
