Schooling Feeding program in the Northern regional capital, Tamale, is said to be in limbo as zonal coordinators who are supposed to supervise its commencement today have failed to do so for fear of being attacked.
This follows series of threat on them by some irate youth who are purported to be supporters of NPP, called ‘Burma Camp’.
They have vowed to attack them if they decide to start their operations today.
The youth had earlier locked up the regional offices of the program in protest of what they describe as discrimination in the appointment of zonal executive in the program.
Speaking to Adom News about the issue, a leading member of the group Salifu Sulemana said they will not allow the coordinators to work until their grievances are addressed.
Adom News’Illiasu Abdul Rauf who has been following the story reported that the supporters have still not opened the offices and have vowed to deal with anyone who tries to get close to the offices.
