“As for the job, Martin can do it but he should throw away the Rawlings and PNDC era and stop scaring people because we are currently under a constitutional regime and so he should stop the arrogance and work”, he said on Net 2 TV.
Mr Ohene Agyapong’s remark follow Martin Amidu’s comment, saying regardless of all the ill spoken about the former president, Jerry John Rawlings, he did a good job at tackling corruption during his tenure.
Speaking at his vetting on Tuesday, the man who described himself as “the best choice” for the job by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said, although Mr Rawlings did not completely eliminate the canker, it was reduced drastically when he was president.

“…Whatever anyone says about him [Rawlings] he reduced corruption and graft to the barest minimum; he didn’t abolish it,” he said.
But the controversial NPP MP, who claims Martin Amidu has started showing signs that he ‘is very arrogant’ noted that in as much as his office would prosecute government officials who have been accused of a crime, the office should also be circumspect and go through processes before prosecuting them.
