Hot Audio: Owusu Bempah predicts death of Presby Moderator

-

Founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has prophesied the death of the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Reverend Professor Cephas Narh Omenyo.

The moderator, according to Rev. Owusu Bempah, will die very soon unless Ghanaians and members of the church take steps to reverse it.

Rev. Owusu Bempah, said God revealed the unfortunate incident to him while praying with his junior pastors on Sunday at his home.

The well-known man of God, who had earlier prophesied the death in of the late President John Atta-Mills and former Vice President Aliu Mahama in 2012, as well as a plane crash on December 31, 2011 in an interview on Adom FM, said this calamity can be averted if Ghanaians especially his members seek the face of God in prayers.

“Sometimes people don’t take my prophecies seriously because they always tell me why I predict deaths. On Sunday when I was praying with some junior pastor of mine in my house, I saw this unfortunate incident revealed to me by God that the Presbyterian Church moderator will die very soon

“I don’t know the pastors in Presbyterian and don’t know anything about them and so I will call on them to act fast and avert this death. We need to pray to stop that because it was revealed to me that the man was very sick and that will lead to his death. God spoke to me and that is what I said” he said on Accra-based Okay FM.

Isaac Owusu Bempah has in previous instances prophecied happenings in Ghana – many of which have come to pass.

But some Ghanaians, including clergymen, have described him as a prophet of doom and a person who thrives on ‘fear and panic’

But the controversial pastor, however, insists he is not bothered by such comments saying he only puts out what is revealed to him by God.

This notwithstanding, Rev. Owusu Bempah maintained that members of the Glorious Word Ministry International are already fasting and praying; seeking the face of God to avert the prophecy from coming to pass.He however called on all Ghanaians to intercede on behalf of Reverend Professor Cephas

He, however, called on all Ghanaians to intercede on behalf of Reverend Professor Cephas Narh Omenyo.

Prof. Omenyo, 57, who now carries the title Rt. Reverend, went into the contest unopposed after his closest contestants, Rev. Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, the President of the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, and Rev. Herbert Anim-Opong, the Chairperson for the North American Presbytery of the Church, had all stepped down after the nomination.

At the nomination stage, Rev. Prof. Omenyo secured 116 votes, Rev. Prof. Mante 60 votes and Rev. Anim Opong 27 votes respectively as the top three nominees.

Rev. Prof. Mante and Rev. Anim Opong later bowed out leaving Rev. Prof. Omenyo as the sole candidate for the election.
