Contrary to claims Jesus Christ is not the son of God, the Leader and founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International (GWPMI), Reverend Owusu Bempah has stated that he was misquoted by the media.
According to him, he only sought to give the antecedent of how the name Jesus Christ came about.
The prophet maintained that, he was only educating the nation that Jesus Christ, the son of God had an original name called Yeshua Hamashiach.
“I never said Jesus Christ is not the son of God. I was only explaining that some years back, the Jews didn’t recognize Jesus because the only name they knew was Yeshua Hamashiach and that was what I was trying to explain to Ghanaians” he said on Accra-based Neat FM.
The Man of God who has stirred the latest controversy, insists that the real son of God is called Yeshua Hamashiach reiterating that Jesus Christ was an impostor.
“The son of God is not called Jesus Christ. He is called Yeshua Hamashiach. The name Jesus Christ was given by Constantine gave that name to Yeshua Hamashiach. Yeshua Hamashiach was given birth to by a woman on earth and was crucified by Plato and rose from the grave the third day into the skies with the hope he will return same as prophesied by angels. He is called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Jesus Christ is not the name of the son of God. There was this man who came called Nero who was killing the followers of Jesus Christians who were not even called Christians but Nazarenes. He could feed them to lions and other dangerous animals but their numbers increased”, he revealed on Kofi TV.
