Member of Parliament for Ada East constituency, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, is alleging that some appointees in the current administration are guilty of receiving double rent.
She said some of them are reportedly receiving accommodation allowances while occupying state bungalows.

Mrs. Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah’s comments follow the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)’s decision to investigate some former appointees of the erstwhile Mahama administration over the alleged receipt of double salaries.
Earlier in the day, news had it that three ministers of the previous administration had been cautioned for stealing.

The three who have received the caution include Inusah Fuseini, former Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Comfort Doyoe Ghansah, former Minister of State in charge of Social and Allied Institutions and Eric Opoku, former Brong Ahafo Region Minister.

But responding to the claims on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Tuesday, the MP who is one of the accused persons, rubbished the allegations, insisting no appointee received double salaries under Mahama.
“It is not possible; even if something like that happened like they claim, then they should check their system because their system has failed them”, she said.
According to her, some current ministers who she refused to name, though occupy government bungalows, are still taking rent allowances.

The development, Mrs. Cudjoe-Ghansah claims, is tantamount to a criminal act and therefore could not fathom why they were being accused of receiving double salaries.
“The NPP should really think through before accusing us falsely because we have secrets about them they don’t know. We will face them boot-for-boot. Some NPP ministers are still occupying bungalows and still taking rent”, she claimed.
Mrs. Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah said she has concrete evidence to support her claim and will not hesitate to provide it if need be.
