The Deputy Minister of Transport and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East, Titus-Glover has said that former President John Dramani Mahama showed no political commitment to fighting corruption because he is corrupt.
According to him, the legacy of former president Mahama was a broken economy, corruption and high tariffs which led to the collapse of business.
Concerns raised by Ghanaians, Mr Glover indicated fell on deaf ears under former president Mahama, which he believes sent them to opposition.
“Mahama and his NDC cohorts really didn’t treat Ghanaians well because they deceived them with lies and that forced them into opposition. Mahama even failed to prosecute his people he himself was so corrupt. All NDC members have PHD in corruption” he said.
Titus Glover was speaking on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Monday after former President John Mahama, described the Ghana Post GPS app as “419” (fraud).
Addressing the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Unity walk in Cape Coast in the Central Region last week Sunday, Mahama said new governments, all over the world, are often given honeymoon periods to roll out their policies.
Responding to comments by Mahama, Vice President, Dr Bawumia said: “We know a 419 scam when we see one and that, unfortunately, was the hallmark of the administration of former president Mahama.
But Titus-Glover could not fathom why President Mahama who has PHD in corruption should accuse the NPP government of corruption as far as the Ghana Post GPS app is concerned.
He said the NPP government inherited a lot of national debt from the Mahama-led NDC administration.
His government, he stressed will soon prosecute suspected NDC corrupt officials in their involvement in various scandals.
He said the Attorney General’s office had already began interrogating persons believed to have been involved in various corruption scandals in order to establish a “very holistic investigation that will uncover the rot to the core.”
“NDC actually managed to destroy the country. I can tell you that the AG is working hard to investigate NDC officials involved in corrupt acts and so they shouldn’t force us. Nana Addo knows what he is doing and so let’s allow him” he said.
Titus-Glover said Ghanaians need a courageous man like President Nana Akufo-Addo to manage this country.
