Central Regional Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, Allotey Jacobs says Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong may become a hero if his allegation against investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas is proven to be true.
He believes in as much as some Ghanaians respect Anas’ conviction, some section of the public also respects the law maker’s conviction therefore must follow due procedure till the truth is revealed.
“Sometimes I always say that investigative reporters have different ways of investigating their stories and if Ken is claiming that he (Anas) is also corrupt, then he should follow due procedures and trust me when the issue goes to court and is proven that all he is saying is the truth, then Ken will become a hero” he noted.

According to him, he is taking such action because he hates Anas’ mode of operation which he thinks is “unfair.”
He said Anas baits his victims with money, records them secretly and when they fall for it, he publishes the recordings to tarnish their image.
But Allotey Jacobs advised Kennedy Agyapong not to attack Anas but rather back his allegations with evidence.

“Go ahead and do your thing. Is the same thing Anas is doing and so we need to allow both of them to go to court and prove their point. That is the only way we will know the truth” he stated.
