Former Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Baba Jamal has said homosexuals will go to hell.
According to him, homosexuality is not a natural cause those those involved cannot claim to have been born with it.
“While people are sleeping with animals such as snakes, dogs, others are also sleeping with the same sexes. God will never forgive all these people. When you die, you will go directly to hell. All these people will not receive salvation when they die” he said.
Baba Jamal was commenting on President Nana Akufo Addo’s response to Ghana’s position on homosexuality in an interview on Aljazeera.
President Akufo-Addo in an interview with Aljazeera’s Jane Dutton said legalization of the act is “bound to happen” should there be a strong coalition to push for its legislation.
This position by the President, Baba Jamal on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Thursday, said is wrong.
He said President Akufo-Addo should have been bold and straightforward in his response just as his predecessors stated their positions of Ghana on homosexuality.
“Former President Kufuor stressed he will not allow it. Atta Mills also indicated that he doesn’t like it. Mahama declined it and so why was our President not smart to have said no on this issue but chose to round himself in an uncomfortable situation” he wondered.
Baba Jamal who is also the former Member of Parliament for the Akwatia Constituency maintained that since marijuana has not been legalized in Ghana because it is seen as a bad act, then homosexuality should not be accepted in Ghana.
“Homosexuality, is not on the agenda. How many years have weed smokers wanted it legalized? It will never happen. What Nana Addo said about Homosexuals didn’t reflect the culture of our people. Let’s be plain and concise because it will never happen. Homosexuality will never be accepted in Ghana” he warned.
