The aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay, has called on political parties, especially the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to take a cue from his idea to purchase 275 buses for his party.
Freddy Blay believes the bus-purchase idea is good and cost-effective and therefore should be an example to the NDC and other organizations that make use of bus services.

“It will be a good example for even our strong opponent which is the NDC to learn from. Not only our party, [but] NDC and all other parties go to funerals, they attend some other conferences, they need transportation and they have to pay a lot but if they have their own buses to take them up and down, it will benefit the party”, he said.

Mr. Freddy Blay was speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Friday.
The Acting Chairman of the NPP had promised to provide a bus for each of the 275 constituencies of his party to be used as a means of raising funds for party.
A move that has been heavily criticised by many including the Ghana Integrity Initiative and other anti-corruption agencies.
