Hot audio: ‘FA Cup Committee conspired with Kotoko’

-

A former Management member of Hearts of Oak is blaming FA Cup Committee for their humiliating defeat against their arch-rival, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Aziz Haruna Futah alleged that the FA Cup Committee and Kotoko conspired to choose Tamale, a town dominated with supporters of the Porcupine warriors for the match.

“Majority of the people in Tamale are Kotoko supporters. From their chiefs to the last person” he bemoaned.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko was on Sunday crowned champions of the 2016/2017 MTN FA Cup competition after beating their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak by three goals to one at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Saddick Adams of Kumasi Asante Kotoko scored a hat trick in the first half of the game.

Thomas Abbey scored a consolation for Hearts in the 58th minute.

This was the first time both teams are plying the MTN FA Cup finals at the Tamale Sports Stadium, a 20,017 – capacity facility.

For their prize, Kumasi Asante Kotoko received a trophy and a cheque for GH¢50,000.00 from MTN, one of the telecom giants in the country.

But Aziz Haruna Futah on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sport show Tuesday said Kotoko was aided just to humiliate Hearts of Oak.

“We were cheated; Hearts had two clear penalties but the referee disallowed it. He looked so confused and disturbed” he fumed.

The Hearts of Oak fan said the 3-1 score line was a stolen verdict but is confident God will vindicate them.
