The Cocoa Marketing Board, (COCOBOD) has interdicted thirteen (13) of its workers for allegedly embezzling funds of the company.
The Chief Executive of the Company, Joseph Boahen Aidoo who disclosed this to Adom News’ Kwame Kulenu said upon assumption of office activities of these men have put the organization in shamble.
He said further investigations reveals that the workers have hands in allege corrupt practices in the company.
Mr Boahen Aidoo said some of them have been asked to proceed on leave while others have been interdicted for investigation.
Joseph Boahen Aidoo explained further that the Economic and Organize Crime Unit (EOCO) and CID are investigating the matter.
He added that his outfit is doing its best to ensure that the matter is given the needed attention it deserves to serve as deterrent to others.
