Former Head coach of Premier League side, Hasaccas Ladies, Yussif Basigi is positive the 11th edition of the Africa Women’s Nations Cup to be staged in Ghana will showcase great  Ghanaian talents to the outside world.

The Black Queens who are paired in Group A with Algeria, Cameroon and Mali are hoping to host and win the biennial tournament for the first time but the one-time manager of the side says international exposure amongst other things is assured.

“Tournaments like this expose the female players to the world and improve their skills and more opportunity for them. The benefit of this AWCON on women football in Ghana is many as many young girls get the opportunity to showcase what the country has to the whole world, ‘’ Basigi told TV3 Sports.

“So we have to encourage the team to do more, I plead with Ghana to come and support the team so they can lift the trophy,” he added.

Trainer Yussif Basigi guided the Queens to 3rd place at the 2016 edition in Cameroon and is currently the manager of the female National U20 side.
