Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has promised to field his strongest lineup in the upcoming Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Peace Cup.
The Phobians are set to face Premier League rivals Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the match scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
In a pre-match press conference, Ouattara emphasized his commitment to selecting his best players in pursuit of victory.
“This is part of our pre-season preparations. After this, we may have another match lined up. But for now, our focus is on this game. Winning isn’t the only goal at this stage; it’s about the match itself,” he explained.
“We’re going to put our best team on the field to perform well. This won’t be our first or last challenge, but it’s crucial,” the Hearts of Oak coach continued.
“No team enters a final without the intention of winning. We need to bring the Cup home. That’s football,” he added.
This match is a key part of the club’s preparations for the upcoming 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
