The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on the chiefs and people of Bekwai to hold him accountable if he fails to deliver on his promises.
Dr. Bawumia made this appeal during a stakeholder engagement as part of his four-constituency campaign tour, which also includes Bosomtwe, Ejisu, and Asokwa.
Addressing the people, Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in his proposed policies and solutions, adding that he understands the challenges they face and is prepared to address them with decisive action.
He reassured residents that his ambition is to secure their trust for the full eight-year tenure allowed, vowing to return to them in four years to renew his mandate if he fulfills his commitments.
He asserted that he would not disappoint them if given the chance to serve.
In response, the Chief of Asumagya, Nana Okyere Kusi Ntrama, who is also Otumfuo’s Benkumhene, affirmed that the NPP government has already initiated various road projects in the area.
He expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to complete them.
