Ho residents face water shortages again after GWCL’s Kpeve headworks breaks down

-

Residents of Ho and its surrounding areas are grappling with another water supply disruption following the breakdown of a shaft at the Ghana Water Company Limited’s (GWCL) Kpeve Headworks on Tuesday, January 30.

This marks the third such failure in recent months, leaving communities that had only recently regained supply without water once again.

Water flow had resumed just a week ago after repairs to a previous breakdown at the Kpeve Headworks.

The recurring issue has left residents frustrated, with many calling on GWCL to implement a long-term solution.

In a statement signed by Regional Production Manager Ing. Ransford Nii Djan Amoo, GWCL assured residents that engineers are working tirelessly to repair the fault and restore supply as soon as possible.

Residents, however, fear that prolonged shortages will continue to disrupt their lives unless a permanent fix is implemented.
