Human Mobile Devices (HMD), the manufacturers of Nokia phones and official mobile sponsor of FC Barcelona, has announced the launch of four new mobile devices in Ghana.

This move is part of the company’s commitment to delivering European quality and heritage technology to Africa, improving lives across the continent.

At the launch event in Accra, Usman Shahid, Head of Sales Operations and New Business for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa at HMD, emphasized the company’s vision for the region. “We are here in Ghana to bring European quality and heritage technology to Ghana and Africa to improve lives,” Shahid told Adom News.

The event showcased the unveiling of four new devices – two smartphones (HMD Arc and HMD Aura²) and two feature phones, all designed to offer durability, style, and performance to meet the needs of African users.

The well-attended event brought together top mobile phone retailers, social media influencers, and celebrities, including popular Kumawood actor Dr. Likee (Akabenezer).

Maureen Kambona, Regional Marketing Manager for West, East, and Central Africa at HMD, highlighted the uniqueness of the newly launched devices. “These phones are durable and high-quality, so users won’t need to change their phones every six months,” she stated.

Isaac Clifford Arthur, National Channel Manager for HMD Ghana, encouraged Ghanaians to explore the new phones, describing them as the best in their category. He was joined by Dr. Likee, who urged consumers to trust the brand’s promise of quality and performance.

This launch marks a significant step for HMD in expanding its footprint in Africa, providing affordable yet high-quality devices tailored to the lifestyle and demands of the African market.
