A major traffic jam has occurred on the Liberation Road near the Flagstaff House, as a moving car catches fire.
The incident, which took place opposite Afrikiko, involved an salon car that was ablaze for hours before the fire service arrived.
It is unclear what led to the fire outbreak but primary cause points to overheating.
Though personnel from the fire service showed up, the vehicle was already extensively damaged beyond repairs due to the blaze.
The driver of the vehicle was nowhere to be found at the scene.
The road towards 37 Military Hospital from the Sankara interchange has been blocked as a result, with traffic police stopping vehicles from Akoa Adjei heading towards Afrikiko to manage the situation.
The incident has led to heavy traffic in the area, causing significant delays for commuters.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are working to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
