Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has assured fans that the club’s issues will be resolved before the start of the 2024/25 Ghana football season.
The Phobian Club narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Bechem United at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
In preparation for the upcoming season, Hearts of Oak faced a setback with a 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko last Wednesday in the first edition of the Democracy Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium. This marked their third consecutive defeat to the Porcupine Warriors.
Despite acknowledging the current problems, Nyaho-Tamakloe remains confident they will be addressed before the new season begins.
“We have a problem at the moment, but that problem will come to an end before the start of the league 2024-2025,” he told Joy Sports.
“We have a coach we believe can stabilize the team, select the best players, maintain good control, and provide the necessary training,” he added.
Additionally, Hearts of Oak is set to play against Heart of Lions in the 2024 Homowo Charity Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 11, 2024.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League is scheduled to commence on September 6, as announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
