A board member of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei, has expressed optimism about the club’s future despite their challenging 2023/24 season.
The club narrowly avoided relegation with a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Bechem United on the final day of the Ghana Premier League.
As part of their preparations for the 2024/25 season, the Phobians were defeated 2-1 by Asante Kotoko on Wednesday in the first edition of the Democracy Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking their third consecutive loss to the Porcupine Warriors.
Speaking to Akoma FM following the defeat, Sowah stated, “We continue to review our performance, and I am confident that with the quality of people on the board, we will bounce back strongly.
“We will soon announce our new signings. We are working hard to make the best decisions for the club. Hearts is always expected to win, so we will go back to the drawing board and ensure we do what is necessary to become more competitive for the upcoming season,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the new football season will begin on September 6.
