Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has called on the club’s fans to continue supporting the team despite a disappointing start to the season.
The Phobians have struggled in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, currently sitting 12th in the standings with only 9 points after eight matches.
Their latest setback came in Matchday 8, where they lost 1-0 to Bibiani GoldStars at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Friday night.
Samuel Attah Kumi netted the lone goal for the visitors, while Hearts of Oak’s Hamza Issah missed a crucial penalty, marking the end of their five-match unbeaten streak under Ouattara.
Despite the defeat, Ouattara remains hopeful and emphasizes that the team’s improvement will take time.
He urged fans to stand by the club during this challenging phase.
“One goal we couldn’t score. Every match we expect to win three points, but today we lost all three at home. The supporters should continue supporting us because it is a process,” Ouattara said after the defeat.
Hearts of Oak face a tough challenge against Medeama SC in their Matchday 9 encounter at TNA Park on Friday.
