Head of the Normalization Committee for Ghana football, Kofi Amoah, has confirmed that a novelty league will soon be rolled out for clubs.
He says the league is expected to relief clubs and players of financial stress and to keep the clubs competitive following the termination of the league.
According to him, the Committee together with the clubs agreed to discontinue the Zylofon Cash Premier League as the Committee does all it can to organise a novelty and also make sure the clubs do not run at a loss while participating.
“We wrote to GHALCA and all the clubs agreed to discontinue the league so to keep the clubs busy, we are looking for funds to organise a novelty league that will not drain the clubs and force the players out of the country”, he revealed.
Mr Amoah who was speaking on Asempa FM also disclosed the league will not exceed the month of March when the mandate of the Normalization Committee is expected to end, maintaining that all efforts are geared at making sure Ghana Football returns better.
