President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has hailed the election of Ghana’s first female Vice President as a historic milestone, calling it an achievement worthy of national celebration.
Speaking during a meeting with President-elect John Dramani Mahama and his delegation at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 11, Akufo-Addo expressed his admiration for this groundbreaking accomplishment.
“For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a female Vice President. This is an achievement that deserves celebration from all of us,” he remarked.
Akufo-Addo extended his warm congratulations to both the President-elect and Vice President-elect, commending their victory and wishing them success in the incoming administration.
The meeting was convened to inaugurate a joint transitional team tasked with overseeing a smooth transfer of power following Mahama’s electoral victory.
The discussion reflected the commitment of both leaders to a peaceful and cooperative transition.
