A dancer from Lagos, Nigeria, Babajide Isreal Adebanjo has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest twerking duration.
Babajide achieved this remarkable feat by twerking continuously for 3 hours and 30 minutes on January 14, 2024.
The record attempt was more than just a personal challenge for Babajide; it served as a powerful platform to raise awareness about mental health issues, particularly depression.
Babajide’s journey to the record was deeply personal and motivated by a desire to step out of his comfort zone and inspire others facing similar struggles.
His message is that no record is too crazy, too big, too great or too little to achieve. There is always space for everyone and their unique attributes.
By breaking this record, he intended to draw attention to the importance of mental health awareness and encourage those suffering from depression to find their own ways of overcoming challenges.
