Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a temporary interruption in water supply for customers in the Amasaman District.
The interruption is due to critical maintenance works at its Nsawam Treatment Plant.
The maintenance will take place between March 1 and March 7, 2025, and will lead to a reduction in water production, affecting supply to some communities.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Communications Manager, Solace A. M. Akomeah, Communications Manager, Accra West Region.
Affected areas include Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, parts of Pokuase, and surrounding communities.
Residents have therefore been urged to store enough water for use during the period and assured customers that the maintenance was aimed at improving overall water supply reliability.
“We regret the inconvenience associated with this arrangement,” the statement added.
