Heals and Sneakers producer and actress, Yvonne Nelson has bemoaned how the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) charged her GH¢ 14,000.00 before connecting potable water to her house.
Ms Nelson, who felt it was outrageous to be charged such an amount together with her neighbours, said it broke her heart.

According to her, she believes Ghana as a nation should be able to take care of her needs so that cost of some social amenities would be reduced.

“I think we have everything as a nation but it’s always like we need to take instructions from someone and that breaks my heart and I don’t understand. At times I get angry like I was connecting water to my home and was asked to pay GH¢ 14,000.00 to connect from the main point to a central one. I made noise on Twitter and some people asked me to go for a borehole,” she said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.
