GWCL addresses water supply challenges in Cape Coast, Elmina

-

Ghana Water Limited (Central Region) has provided an update to its customers in Cape Coast, Elmina, and nearby communities regarding improvements in water supply.

The Sekyere Hemang Water Treatment Plant has seen a significant reduction in turbidity levels, now averaging 9,000 NTU compared to the previous 14,000 NTU.

This improvement is largely due to the efforts of the Central Regional Security Council, led by the Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan.

As a result, water production has increased from 1.98 million gallons per day to 2.77 million gallons per day.

Ghana Water Limited assured residents that they are working diligently to meet the water demand and improve raw water quality.

They expressed gratitude to the Regional Security Council for their support and urged customers to use drinking water wisely.

Periodic updates will be provided regarding any changes that may affect water supply.
