Rapper Guru has praised Amaarae following her historic solo performance at Coachella 2025, calling it “a proud moment for Ghana.”
Guru described the performance as more than just music, highlighting it as a patriotic statement that raised the Ghanaian flag on one of the world’s biggest stages.
“She really did well. We needed a clear representation of Ghana on such a global platform, and Amaarae delivered exactly that. Her presence, her words, her sound, it was all about bridging the gap between Ghana and the international world,” Guru said.

“I was so happy hearing her sing other people’s songs. That was powerful. She wasn’t selfish; she gave others visibility and traction,” he added.
Guru acknowledged Amaarae’s unique marketing strategy, noting that while it may seem distant to the local market, it is clearly effective.
He praised Amaarae as the liaison between the Ghanaian music industry and the global stage and urged fans to support her, emphasizing that her success is a win for the entire country.
