Unknown gunmen have attacked a vehicle transporting students of Kongo Senior High School (SHS) in Nabdam to Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, while the students were traveling from Widana.
According to reports, the attackers ordered the students to disembark while they set the vehicle and the driver, whose identity is yet to be established, ablaze.
The unfortunate incident is said to have occurred in front of the Bawku SHS.
This attack is suspected to be connected to the renewed chieftaincy dispute in Bawku, which has claimed several lives and left many injured in the past few days.
Meanwhile, the police have yet to comment on the incident.
