Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been banned indefinitely from participating in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) with immediate effect.
At a press conference organised by the Board of Charterhouse and the Musicians Union of Ghana on Thursday, Mrs Theresa Ayoade, the Chief Executive Officer of CharterHouse disclosed that until they show good behaviour and desist from such acts, they will not be part of the VGMA.
“Indefinite ban means pending good behaviour and evaluation as we progress. It’s indefinite till we have seen change in the industry,” she explained at the conference which had many industry players attending.

Shatta Wale followed Stonebwoy minutes after the latter was mentioned as the ‘Dancehall Reggae Artiste of the Year’ at the VGMAs with his fans walking by his side as they made their way to the podium.
Things didn’t go down well as fans of both camps engaged in fisticuffs with Stonebwoy pulling a gun.
The Ghana Police Service later arrested and granted the two GH¢ 50,000.00 bail amidst investigations.
