The Office of the President has, with immediate effect, suspended all post-retirement contract appointments for retired public service staff.
This directive was contained in a letter dated April 2, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
According to the statement, all ongoing and pending requests for post-retirement contracts are to be put on hold and will no longer be considered.
Public institutions have been urged to comply fully with the directive.
“Kindly take note of this directive and ensure strict compliance,” The statement concluded.
