President Nana Akufo-Addo, through the Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, has declared Monday, August 5, 2019 as a statutory public holiday.
A statement signed by the Minister said “the general public is hereby reminded that Sunday, August 4, 2019, which marks Founders Day, is a statutory public holiday.

“In view of the fact that 4th August falls on a Sunday, the President has declared Monday, August 5, 2019 as a public holiday to be observed as such throughout the country.”
