Gov’t accuses Ntim Fordjour of peddling falsehood

The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has accused Assin South MP, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, of spreading falsehoods regarding the “suspicious aircraft” that landed at Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

Rev. Ntim Fordjour alleged that two flights—AirMed flight NH23AM and Cavok Air private jet Antonov AN 12 B—landed in Ghana between March 20 and March 25, 2025, carrying suspected cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash. The NPP has since called for investigations into the matter.

Responding to the claims, Kwakye Ofosu dismissed them as unfounded and politically motivated.

“I say that he was peddling falsehood because the facts as they exist vary completely from the claims that he made. When he made that claim, he was only seeking to peddle falsehood in a bid to undermine the confidence that the people of Ghana have in this government,” he stated.

The Abura Asebu Kwamankese MP further claimed that Rev. Fordjour backtracked when invited to assist with investigations.

“I can report to you that because he knew he was peddling total falsehoods and lies, he now claims after being invited to assist with investigations that he was speaking on behalf of the committee that he was part of, and that the views he expressed were not his personal views. So, because of that, he says he is unable to cooperate with the security agencies,” he added.

Although President John Mahama has ordered a thorough probe into the claims, the government insists the allegations lack merit and are politically motivated.
