A gory accident at Karimenga on the Bolgatanga-Tamale Highway has reportedly claimed eight lives with several others injured.
The accident occurred on Friday, February 28, 2025, involving a Yutong bus.
The bus was traveling from Kumasi to Bolgatanga crashed into a container truck parked along the roadside.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service(GNFS), the Upper East Regional Command received a distress call from the Police control at 0630 hours.
A dispatched rescue team arrived at the scene and quickly started rescue operations.
Out of 45 passengers, five were trapped and had to be extricated.
Three legs unidentified legs were found at the scene and one later at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
