Gomoa Wassa youth urged to shun political violence ahead of elections

-

In a powerful call to action, the youth of Gomoa Wassa in the Gomoa West District has been urged to reject political violence and promote peace in the upcoming elections.

The appeal was made by Nana Kow Arkoh Ansah V, the newly unveiled chief of Gomoa Wassa, at a gathering at the Wassa Community Center on July 16, 2024.

Addressing the community, Nana Kow Arkoh Ansah V warned the youth against allowing politicians to exploit them for violent purposes, emphasizing that the future of the country depends on their ability to maintain peace and unity.

The elders and Omankrado of Gomoa Wassa echoed this sentiment, urging the community to come together and reject conflict in favour of development and progress.

The event was particularly significant, as it marked the end of a 35-year period without a chief for the community.

The youth in attendance expressed their gratitude for the leadership and guidance, and pledged to work towards a peaceful and prosperous future.

As Ghana prepares to go to the polls, the message of peace and unity resonates strongly.

The youth of Gomoa Wassa are poised to play a critical role in shaping the country’s future, and their commitment to non-violence will be a beacon of hope for generations to come.
