God made me captain of Black Stars – Asamoah Gyan

-

Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, has hit back at the media following criticisms on his captaincy.
Sections of the media have been advocating for the skipper to step down and give other players the opportunity to lead the team.
But Gyan says God made him captain of the senior national team, Black Stars , therefore there is nothing anyone can do about it.
“God made me the captain of the national team, whether you like it or not; God made me the captain of Ghana, so you can have your opinion and do whatever you want. God made me the captain and not human, people just want me to get pissed off”‘, he stated in an Instagram video.
Gyan who owns Babyjet Airline, Mama Vit Noodles and  Rice, Asa Band, Jetlink Event and Logistics among others, further stated that, ”I don’t know what I have done wrong, is it because I’m progressing, building companies, creating jobs, paying taxes? Let’s be real here, how many footballers have done that in this country”.
“I never talk about people; I always wish everyone well. I always want to see others progressing”, he added.
Gyan has played in three World Cups and has also played every Nations Cup since 2008 and became of the Black Stars, succeeding John Mensah in 2012 by Coach Kwesi Appiah.
