After losing out on all his nomination at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Patapaa has comforted himself with the saying ‘God’s time is the best’.
Patapaa who was being trolled on social media for wearing ‘oversized’ suit had bragged about winning the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’.

“My one corner hit track will win most popular song of the year in next year’s VGMA’s,” he disclosed. God Opens the way out of the blue, as you all can attest to how viral one corner went, surely it is going to grab the most popular song of the year subject to next year’s VGMA awards,” he reportedly said on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra.
However, his door was closed for that Fancy Gaddam to be opened. Fancy Gaddam won the Most Popular Song of the Year with his ‘Total Cheat which featured Sarkodie.

Respond with disappointment on Twitter, the One Corner hitmaker wrote, “God’s time is the best. Everything happens for a reason. Heaven knows I tried my best.#VGMA2018”
Patapaa who hails from Agona Swedru in the Central Region, rose to fame last year his song “One Corner” and its accompanying ‘crazy’ dance.
The song which became popular after it was used in a dance performance during a festival in Agona Swedru, became a major hit quickly and spread like wildfire throughout the country and beyond.
